“Alarm Clocks” is a rollicking indie-rock freight train powered by a double helping of pounding drums. I wrote the song to process the grief from upended friendship and the breakup of my high school band during the summer between my sophomore and junior year of college. I returned to school feeling baseless and alone in a way I never had before. My hometown was no longer home to me. Leaving me adrift in the excitement and terror of independence, and fledgling adulthood.

Recordings of “Alarm Clocks” attempted in our college years never achieved our satisfaction. So it gives me great relief that after a dozen years of gestation and refinement “Alarm Clocks” was finally recorded at our individual home studios during the winter of 2021.
